Six provincial road administrations employ ROMDAS to measure
LRPs, roughness and road inventories (Buenos Aires-36,000 km; Santa
Fe-12,000 km; Chaco-8,000 km; Jujuy-5,000 km; Corrientes-5,000 km and
Neuquen-4,500 km). |

CERTS Pty. Ltd. use ROMDAS
for video, GPS and roughness surveys.

Technocrats Pvt. Ltd. in 1999 conducted over 5000 lane-km of roughness, rut depth,
video and location reference point surveys for the Kerala PCC and a
further 250 lane-km of similar surveys for the NH-45 project in Tamil
Nadu. |

SPAN Consultants Pvt. Ltd. obtained a
ROMDAS system in 1999 for rutting, video, GPS and roughness measurements on various PCC
projects. |

In May 1999 May Associates from the U.K. used ROMDAS to
collect data for the Karnataka PCC project. |

Kinhill Pty. of Australia used ROMDAS in 1997 for the Tamil
Nadu PCC for a location reference survey followed by a
roughness/video survey. |

Lea Associates South Asia
(LASA) Ltd. have used ROMDAS for roughness measurements in a number of studies. In
1997 as part of the Gujarat PCC, 2,600 lane-km of roughness and video surveys were
conducted by LASA in 20 days. |

Used by Carl Bro International A/S to collect roughness data
for validation of pavement deterioration models on Kabupaten roads. |

In 1999 Lea Consultants used three systems to undertake a
major set of surveys to provide for the Integrated Road Management Systems (IRMS). |

Carl Bro International A/S of Denmark used ROMDAS
to collect data on 2200 km of paved and unpaved roads for the Nicaragua
PMS project in 1996-97. |

Philippines |
 |
In late 1999/2000 Africon Consultants did a major centreline
survey for the DPWH. This will see over 29,000 lane-km of centrelines on 42 islands
surveyed using GPS. At the same time, they are collecting roughness and video data, the
latter with direct digitising of images in real-time. They also positioned location
reference points using the Laser Surveyor option and took digital photos which were
integrated with the LRP data. |

Department of Highways
commenced annual roughness surveys totalling over 45,000 km/year using 5 vehicles equipped
with ROMDAS. |

Montgomery Watson of NZ have implemented a ROMDAS system for
the Ministry of Works as part of an ADB sponsored pavement
management system project. |

Trinidad and Tobago |

continued to use ROMDAS for roughness surveys. |
