The ROMDAS System has been continuously developed by Data Collection Limited since the 1990's. It is one of the most cost effective and versatile data collection systems available for road asset management. There is also a basic roughness counter available for roughness surveys which is called miniROMDAS (now enhanced with GPS). This uses a Windows Mobile based datalogger to record the data and offers a more economical alternative to the full ROMDAS System. With an integrated trip meter, it is a versatile and self contained unit.
